Description: STaRS is designed to promote access to graduate education for traditionally underrepresented students in science and medicine. STaRS is a grant funded program through the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the NIH and is run by Boston University’s Division of Graduate Medical Sciences, a recognized leader in graduate education and biomedical research. STaRS is a dynamic and focused program that is designed specifically for the enhancement of skills required for successful entrance and completion of a graduate program or an MD/PhD program in the biomedical sciences. STaRS offers motivated and academically talented students a valuable opportunity to confirm a strong interest in doctoral studies particularly in the areas of heart, lung and blood research.
