Description: Through the DOE Scholars Program, the U.S. Department of Energy Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) is offering college students and recent graduates internships opportunities during the 2023 summer to learn about energy management initiatives in the federal government. Selected candidates will be assigned to different federal agencies. U.S. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to U.S. Veterans to allow them the opportunity to use the technical and leadership skills gained during their military tenure. Veteran candidates who have received a college degree in an appropriate science, technology, engineering or mathematics discipline within ten years of their starting date are eligible for appointments. As a FEMP Scholar, you will: -Receive hands-on experiences and have day-to-day interactions with energy managers at federal agencies that will provide you with an understanding of energy management at the federal government. -Learn about how energy research is accomplished at a national laboratory. -Enhance your academic and professional preparation to pursue a career in energy-related disciplines.
