Description: The Wu Tsai Undergraduate Fellowships provides 10-week (minimum) summer interdisciplinary research opportunities in topics related to interdisciplinary neuroscience, cognitive science, and neuroscience-related computing and engineering to undergraduates from a diverse array of backgrounds. Undergraduate Summer Fellows work under the mentorship of affiliated Wu Tsai Institute faculty, postdocs and graduate students from departments across biology, psychology, computer science, and related disciplines. Example research areas include brain imaging and neurofeedback, machine learning and robotics, and neuron structure and function. Students benefit from professional development activities and panel discussions as they build a network with the Wu Tsai Institute community at Yale. Fellows receive a competitive support package for the 10-week program which runs from end of May to August. We particularly encourage applications from students who can contribute to the diversity of the research workforce by reason of their culture, class, race, ethnicity, background, work and life experiences, skills or interests.
