Description: The Mayo Clinic SURF Program offers the opportunity for undergraduates interested in research to conduct a summer project for 10 weeks. Students accepted in the program will have the opportunity to participate in weekly seminars, network, a develop technical skills. The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program award is $5,000 for the 10 weeks (May 31 - August 5). From this stipend, students are responsible for their own travel, housing and meals. To apply you must be a student currently in your sophomore or junior year, have a grade point average of at least 3.0 and are seriously considering a biomedical research career as a Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D. If elected you will the privilege to work at a Mayo Clinic's campus (Rochester, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Florida or Scottsdale, Arizona) beside both young and established scientists on a broad range of biomedical research questions.
